~The Car Mice Problem!

~The Car Mice Menace~

Mice chew wires in cars and cause thousands of dollars worth of damage. Some wires are coated  with  soy oil which makes them tasty.  Go here to find out how  to make an easy mouse trap that will catch lots of them for a very small price. (pail, coat hanger, pop  can and peanut butter, water  or anti-freez in winter)  It is number 239 on this link:

WombatNation » Mice Ate My Car

Mice can cause lots of disease.  Stored cars are good targets but any car can have mice.

Do not eat in your car, keep bird food in tightly covered plastic pails., catch bird seed in tarps under feeders and dump each night in trash  bags. Do not make a buffet for rodents.

We made the above trap in ten minutes. Check it out.

Mice will make a nest in your air filter, glove box, under the back seat, on the motor, near the  wipers, almost anyplace they when they can find a hole bigger than a dime to enter into your vehicle.  They will urinate on everything and it will smell.  Watch for mice feces. ewww

I hope you never have the problem, but look at the entries on the above link.  It is a common problem.

~ A Yummy Sandwich~

I just discovered Panera Sunflower Bread.
http://www.panerabread.com/
It made me remember to make my favorite egg salad.

In a heavy pan place a dozen eggs and  just barely cover with water.
Turn on high heat and set timer for 22 minutes.   When timer rings:
Take off burner and cover with cold water .  Tap each egg on both sides and place back in water.
Then peel immediately.  Put in fridge to cool.

For one dozen cold eggs I use one medium chopped sweet onion.
1/2 cup midget sweet pickles chopped.
Chop eggs...I use a hand box chopper for pickles, onions and eggs. See it at:
Add Mayo or Miracle whip to taste.
The bread is good toasted too.
Mmmmm Good!

~More on Words~

I told you what I think of the word Blog....Now I want to complain about the Kudos word.
I know what it means but I still think it sound like a male Cootie.  Words have a strong effect on my nervous system.  .  I know a girl who says her skin crawls when she hears the word "fresh".
Now she has put that into my brain.  The word doesn't bother me, yet, whenever  I hear  it,  I remember how it makes her feel.
Humongous  is another word that sends me up the wall.  I can hardly type it and now I feel sick  to my  stomach.
It still irritates me that they now pronounce strength..strenth...I always think they have a lisp.  What was wrong with the g sound?  Strength with a g sounds strong.  Strenth sounds like a   weakling by comparison.   They should never change the pronunciation of words.  Isn't learning them once, enough?   Who decides to do that?  I  would like to give him a "Fresh" Humongous
Cootie!

~ Blog Me~

'Blog Me"

Who named it Blog?
I hate that word!
It sounds like something
You hacked up
And need to spit out!
(well, maybe it is appropriate
after scanning mine)
The word makes me think of
Bog, blob, gob, and fog
to name a few.
Nothing pretty or light
Maybe why my entries
Are so dark and sad.
Soon it may slide
to the level of other
Unsavory words
And people will begin
Saying, "Blog YOU!"

~Do Not Attempt~

'Do Not Attempt'

You cannot change
What's set in stone
So don't you even try.
You'll chip away
And just make noise
Until you'll want to cry.
For people like to stay the same
(and play their game)
and say,
"It's not my fault, Don't blame me,
It's just my DNA"!

~The Storm~

'The Storm'

In the distance
The storm growled
And prowled
Like a band of angry lions.
They approached slowly
Marking their territory
With flashes that lit up the sky.
They seemed to be getting
More and more aggravated
As they came closer.
The moisture shooting
Out of their angry mouths
Caused rain and hail to pelt
everything in their wake.
Now they were boldly moving
I could hear them next to my house.
I hid under the covers, shaking.
With final loud rumbles flashes and  cracks,
That clawed at my roof
They seemed somewhat appeased
And moved South...
I felt lucky to be alive.

~No Goodbyes"

'No Goodbyes'

There shall be

no goodbyes

For they are like

A death of sorts...

When you know

You shan't return

Let the memories remain

As they are...

Suspended in time

The gate left slightly open

Allowing spiders to spin

The web of closure
