'The Ego'
'Mother Nature'
'Mother Nature'
Come visit me
When you are sad and lonely...
For I will understand...
I will cry for you with raindrops
Dry your tears with breeze so gentle
Warm you with bright sunshine...
As you lie in meadow soft
Feel the earth refresh your spirit.
Those flowers are my gift to you...
In these your saddest hours...
See those clouds up in the sky?
They float away with all your cares
To join with others... thunder storms to make...
Where all your pain shall then be told
With rumbles loud and deep and blasts so fierce
With lightning exclamation points!
Afterward a rainbow shall appear...
Assuaging your sorrow
Colored ribbons....all to tie
The greatest gift...

'Death is but a Dance'
'Death is but a Dance'
We are all but a breath away
From Death.
Yet we worry about it deny it or ignore it.
and think that will change things.
We are all so backward about death.
Everything will and does change
Day by day...minute by minute
There is no stopping it.
Our fear or denial is what is in our way.
Death...like all God created is necessary.
If vegetation didn't die...
what would nurture the new seedlings?
If death did not exist...
life would be intolerable for many.
Of course we miss our loved ones.
That is selfish...for they are in a better place.
If we celebrate the dance in their honor
Our pain would dissipate
We are selfish in many ways.
Death is just one of them.
It isn't about us
It is about all of us.
If we didn't have pain...we wouldn't be alive.
Robots don't feel pain.
Pain and change is a part of our privilege
To be visitors on this planet.
Would you just want to be a
scarecrow In this beautiful garden?
Does a scarecrow see or feel
the beauty around it?
Does it smile when it sees a bird fly away?
Does its nose tickle when a butterfly lands on it?
Let us together ...do the dance of life...
rejoice in what comes our way...be happy for others...
Let them go when God calls...
For He has a plan much bigger than we could ever conceive.
Let us dance with joyful hearts
As our loved ones journey forward.

'The Trip'
'The 'Trip'
We all know we are going
But few want to think about it.
I have my bag
All packed and ready.
For I cannot leave behind
The notes of love
and special Photos.
My favorite book
and amethyst stone.
The smiles I gathered
The warm handshakes
The acorn a squirrel left
just for me.
The worn out gloves I use
to tend my flowers.
My first kiss wrapped in velvet.
The sparkle I have seen
in precious eyes.
The loving deeds done just for me.
The tears of Joy in crystal vials.
Laughter spun into colorful silks
Birch bark with a heart engraved
Initials saved.
My first valentine.
My favorite doll.
My Black labrador's collar.
A CD with all my favorite songs
Optimism
Love
Expectations
God won't check my bag
When the gate swings open.
He knows what I have in there.
