'The Last Question'

'The Last Question'

Is WAR

Man's response to death?

(that surly thing that makes

no sense to mortals?)

Is it like the small boy

Who screams at thunder

to prove he's not afraid?

A "Death isn't scary

so let's do it up big?"

Attitude?

And what of Mothers

The givers...the bearers of Life?

Reluctant to feed

Their just grown babes

Into its ugly jaws?

Yet stand beside their boys

Hand over heart

Pledging

The world into oblivion...

'Unshed'

Why can't I cry?

Doesn't betrayal make tears?

Doesn't pain given through years

add up to screams?

I want to scream but who will care?

Just absorbed by rancid air...

I don't have the energy it would take

I need it now to be a fake...

'DEATH IS'

'DEATH IS'

Death

is

the

"Shudder"

of

what

might

have

been....

'The Hood of Death'

Now I lay me

Down into

A body bag

What did I do?

Walked towards home

And right into

A bullet, maybe

Meant for you...

Just before I closed

my eyes,

I heard my Mother's

Shrieking cries...

'Beauty in Motion '

'Beauty in Motion '

Impetuous Wind
Blowing across
The desert floor
Artist sculpting
Minute particles
Into breathtaking
Formations.
Never satisfied
Begins again
And again
Like a young lover
Striving for
Perfection...

"Wandering and Wondering"

"Wandering and Wondering"

In the darkness of the shadows

Where the truest spirit lives

All alone and wondering

What's real.

Taking time to watch and wait

To hear the bells oblivion

As the shadows lengthen

Don't join me for it is too late

You can't undo the horrid hate

Or squelch the tide

that turns and then

Takes you back, again, again

And wonders how this came to be

All alone...Just time and me.
