A Different Dessert

"A Different Dessert"

1 cup of " Simply Orange" Orange juice

1/4 cup maple syrup

Bring to a boil

Add 1/2 cup cold orange juice mixed

with 2 Tablespoons

Corn Starch, stir into hot mixture

until mixture thickens and

is translucent.

Set aside

Peel a 5 # bag of delicious apples

and slice and place in a large oblong

well buttered Pyrex dish

Pour orange mixture over apples

Cover with crumb crust of your choice

Bake for one hour at 350º until

bubbly and crust is brown.

Crust suggestion:

Crumble Topping

1/2 cup flour

1/2 stick butter

1/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup golden brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

This dessert is delightful,

easy and so delicious.

And not so small.

For elderly who

Needed help and rides

She patiently tended all-----

Her loving heart forever

Making room

for just one more

And never..never for herself

A selfish thought she bore.

She's gone to a better place

Where she can

Lovingly watch below

Yes..the place

Where angels go

For she was

One of them...You know.

And stare...a new peace

has taken over.

I am enjoying it.

I am breathing deeper.

I smell cosmos.

Now I close my eyes

in complete

Contentment.

I don't have to write...

I can just sit here.
