If He had asked if you had read

Your bible every day

and gone to church

last Sunday morn

What would you have to say?

If He asked if you loved Him

More than all that you possess

If He came first in everything

Then could you answer yes?

If God should call you on the phone

And say He'd call again

and ask these questions

One more time....what then?

The wind of winter

Is here

Shaking shutters

Howling around corners

Crackling  icy twigs at will.

But you are inside

In a warm soft bed

Snuggled, entwined

Covers pulled up

to chins

Giggling as you bask

in knowing you are

safe inside 

While the world 

outside is freezing.

You feel the back of

 your neck being kissed

and you respond 

with loving murmurs

You have to love him.

'Reflection'

I have reached 

A shady place

Underneath a tree.

The road has been

Winding and long.

I will rest a spell

Before I go on

To contemplate.

It's so peaceful here

and I am tired.

It seems that 

I have changed

No one seems to know

Me anymore

nor I them.

A surrealistic

Feel prevails.

I feel empty

Not wanting to 

Go back 

Or motivated forward.

The crossroad

Of dead ends...

So many miracles

All around

In every rain drop

In every sound

The bright colored feathers

On bird in that nest

Working so hard

Doing her best.

Her world is so large

She can fly anywhere

But stays by her nest

With love tending care.

Our money can buy us

Far places to roam

But it is more blessed

To tend to our home.
