Like death

Youth and energy

Unappreciated

Wearing yourself out

Worrying about

Things completely 

Out of your control!

What a waste.

Pain now

 My steady companion.

Worn out mind

Worn out body.

No patience 

For anyone

Or anything 

Hopeless to the bone.

It has been awhile.  Blog is changing.  I hate learning

New stuff...too old...too hard...lol

Here is a variety of my poems over the years.

I have over a thousand.

(I will be 78 on June first this year)

 No one was brave enough

Or kind enough to warn her

No one whom she had

Worried about, helped 

And cared for as best she

Could..,all of their lives!

All were thoughtless to the core

When she did find out

Her heart exploded

The blood rushed to her lungs

Her last breath red with sorrow.

Come join me in my hideaway

In forest deep and shaded

Where all is happy all the day

An nothing will be jaded.

I have a pie of blueberries 

Cooling on the sill

Come visit as I make some tea

Blue Willow pot ...I'll fill.

Sit in my wicker rocker

By the window edged in lace

And watch the chimpmunk

Peek at you..

He has a funny face.

Don't mind the books

All strewn about

For they're 

Good friends of mine

They seem to fall 

Right off the shelf

When e'er I need a sign.

To take a breath 

and drink the joy

abounding all about...

To spin and dance 

And smile and sing

and sometimes even shout.

For life is full of mysteries

And beauty I must seek.

Or else I'll dry up ...blow away

And ne'er again will speak.

So we will visit now and share

'Till light turns into dusk.

And barely pull a fraction from

Our memory filled husk.

And as we part tomorrow

Some bit will hence remain

To weave into the Song

Of Life's... refrain.

Make your own dressing for special salads!

My Recipe

Best dressing. 

Buy 15 ounces Kraft real mayo

Buy 15 ounces Kemps cultured sour cream.

Put above in bowl

Add 2 tsp dried chives

2 tsp dried parsley

2 tsp dried dill weed 

1/4 tsp black pepper

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsps salt 

Mix well and put in jar in fridge

Old people get mean because they are in pain.

They feel helpless as they can not do what they used to do.

They really get mean when people still expect them to do

 for them what they have always done before.

 They begin to think that people are ungrateful 

for all they have previously done for them.

It will just get worse as their pain becomes more and more unbearable.

If they ask to be left alone, leave them alone!

Someday you will understand!

I wish I were a car.

They are either cherished 

And cared for when they 

Get old or else parked

Out in a field someplace and

Allowed to "Rust in Peace"
