'The Slippery Six'

Six little mouths

To nurse

Day and night

That later would criticize

Sass you with spite.

Six little bottoms

to diaper

And train

And paddle in order

to reach every brain.

Twelve feet to shoe

Twelve hands to mitten

And I know we had

At least one kitten.

Not to mention

Parties...dogs and friends

Enough to give

A Mom

The bends...

Then six bratty teenagers

I won't go into it

Your reward soon after?

You got to babysit!

Then six mature adults

Were we

Of which there's

Still some doubt.

For still we fight

Complain and carp

And sometimes even pout!

Take heart! You've reached

That age at last

Be content..relaxed..even lazy

Since you only have 28

Grandchildren here

To slowly drive

You Crazy!

P.S. (Happy) Mothers Day Mom

As one tired Mom..fast approaching forty

With only "threeofem" all I can ask is:

"HOW DID YOU DO IT?"

With Love,

Brat #5

(Definition of Slippery)

Tending to cause slipping or sliding

Likely to slip away or escape...Not to be

depended upon...fickle..shifty..tricky

or deceitful......Unstable and insecure.
