I wish I were a dog

So you would

love me

I'd wag my tail

When you scratched my ears

I'd never end up crying tears

You'd smile when you saw

That I came in

And never ask me

Where I'd been

You'd watch me eat

Your eyes would gleam

When ev'r I'd lick

My plate all clean

You'd seldom scold me

So I'd know

All was well

And off I'd go.

I'd run and play

Without a care

Never afraid
