"No Meat Burgers"

"No Meat Burgers"

I created  these and they are rich and taste good.

They look like hamburgers, taste better than

hamburgers, no worries about  undercooking, etc; and

the "dough"  keeps well in fridge.

(in zip lock bag)

1/2 cup sunflower nuts.

(planters in jar-make sure they are newly opened)

1 can  pinto or garbonzo beans

(15 ounce can-do not drain)

1 Tablespoon chili powder

(place in magic bullet and mix  until smooth-put nuts in last

so the blades grind them first)

Pour into bowl

Add one cup corn meal

One cup bisquick

Mix...add enough water or tomato juice to make into "raw meat" consistency.

I used 1/4 cup of water... ("dough" is very thick)

Heat frying pan--- add a little olive oil or butter to frying pan.

Make into patties...cook both sides until golden brown. Turn off burner

Let them sit in hot pan for a minute or two.

Salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with lettuce, tomato,, onion, etc;

They are very rich and healthy.

Makes eight Burgers.

They taste even better if "dough" is left in zip lock bag overnight.

Optional suggestions for additions of spices or herbs.

Garlic salt

Onion salt

Hamburger spice

Chives

Parsley

Paprika

Cayenne

turmeric (really good for you)

(I crave these Burgers and I lose weight when I eat them)

This idea came to me when I read the article:
