"Quandary"

The Ogre of Death

looks puzzled

As I crawl toward him

He is supposed to pursue 

me, after all!

I guess he knows

I have more suffering

to do.

More insults to bear.

More betrayals..

His clammy claws itch 

To grab me

Yet, he backs away

(another aggravation)

He even closes his eyes

In an attempt to not see me.

I have no more energy to keep moving,

So I guess I will just lie here

And see what happens...
