'The Tumultuous Teens'
Never so much trouble
and never so much joy
Does a parent encounter
As from their teen age girl or boy
The teen years are so precious
Re-calling from the past
but nowhere is there magic
To make those sweet years last.
A time when children break away
The ties that are so strong
and grope their way to adulthood
It really won't take long.
Rebellious as they sometimes seem
Weren't you the very same?
Remember how you'd
change the world
And overnight gain fame?
Hot rods..hairdos...fads and fancies
Dates and proms and all
Are pass times for these teen age gems
They really have a 'ball'.
So when your nerves they jangle
just stop and reminisce
Remember then your first "real" date
Remember your first kiss
Now if they still harass you
Just one more thing I'll say
They'll soon bring home your 'Grandkids'
So rest up while you may!
